In combating the climate crisis that is happening all around the world, UMW joined arms with Majlis Daerah Hulu Selangor (MDHS) to build a greener neighbourhood for the residents of Bukit Sentosa, Rawang.
Officiating the programme were Tuan Shukri Mohamad Hamin, Yang DiPertua MDHS and En. Muzafar Bin Munzir, Head, Group Corporate Services. The programme was organised in parallel with the official opening of Taman Awam Seroja, Bukit Sentosa. The public park is said to be the first in Selangor to implement the concept of ‘Smart Public Park’. Smart energy, water efficiency and green material were the elements used in the building of the communal area.
As part of Serendah’s community service, it is UMW’s responsibility to ensure the sustainability of the areas as Bukit Sentosa is one of the neighbouring areas of UMW High Value Manufacturing Park.
